  • Innovation, Resilient Systems, and Sustainable Futures in Developing Economies
    Vol. 1 No. 2 (2026)

The International Journal of Development and Innovation Studies (IJDIS) invites high-quality research papers, review articles, and policy analyses for Volume 1, Issue 2 (October 2026).

As global landscapes shift toward rapid technological integration and environmental urgency, developing economies face the dual challenge of accelerating growth while building lasting resilience. This issue aims to bring together cross-disciplinary research exploring how innovative practices, adaptive systems, and forward-looking policies can drive sustainable progress across the Global South. We encourage contributions from researchers, scholars, policymakers, and practitioners across diverse academic disciplines.

    Editorial Scope & Focus

Volume 1, Issue 2 (October 2026) focuses on the critical intersection of technology, governance, economic strategy, and social empowerment. As developing nations navigate post-donor transitions, climate vulnerability, and digital transformation, building resilient systems is no longer optional—it is essential.

This issue seeks empirically grounded and theoretical contributions that address key systemic challenges, offer scalable solutions, and shape policy frameworks across four primary sub-tracks:

    • Digital Transformation & Smart Technologies: Exploring the role of artificial intelligence, open-source architectures, e-governance, and digital infrastructure in modernizing developing societies.

    • Climate Resilience, Energy Transition, & Ecological Governance: Investigating sustainable resource management, renewable energy adoption, and adaptive strategies for environmental conservation.

    • Post-Donor Economic Strategies & Resource Mobilization: Analyzing self-sustaining economic models, public finance reform, local capacity building, and innovative trade partnerships.

    • Social Innovation, Inclusive Growth, & Youth Empowerment: Addressing human capital development, educational transformation, gender equity, and youth-led entrepreneurship in driving community resilience.

    Editorial Preface

Building upon the foundational research presented in our inaugural July issue, Volume 1, Issue 2 shifts the analytical lens toward structural resilience and adaptive innovation. In an era marked by economic volatility, technological disruptions, and environmental pressures, sustainable development requires robust systems capable of absorbing shocks while fostering continuous growth.

This issue presents a curated collection of interdisciplinary insights from scholars and practitioners dedicated to solving complex developmental challenges across the Global South. By bridging empirical research with practical policy, the contributions within this issue provide strategic pathways for building resilient economies, empowered communities, and sustainable futures.
